Puppet show> Spinal Tap

Toy Story 3
(Sorry, I've been sitting on this review for weeks...haven't been in a "blogging" mood.)
I took my almost-four year old son to see this at the second run theatre, and we both loved it. He had already seen it, I had not. This is not only the best animated movie this year, but one of the best movies this year, period. A well thought out story, combined with state-of-the-art CGI animation, and a genuinely moving ending make this a winner.

Dio/ At Donington UK: Live 1983 & 1987
The first of hopefully many posthumous Ronnie James Dio releases, At Donington UK: Live 1983 & 1987 is an excellent double live album. The packaging is nice, a gatefold digipak with two plastic backstage pass replicas, and the sound quality is top notch. Disc One (1983) is my favorite of the two. The band has tons of energy, and Ronnie sounds great. By 1987 (Disc Two), Dio the band had way too many medleys in their live sets, something that lasted until about 1990. In a way it's cool, because it gives the appearance of more songs being played, but it feels like a rip-off too, only hearing portions of some songs. It's still cool to hear this set, although Dream Evil seems like a poor set opener, especially for a festival of 70k or so. All in all, a nice package that is worth owning.
